Yup... another tire ???

I need to replace some strait up14x34 tires on my tractor the rim is either 14" or 15" wide (hard to measure with the tires mounted) the "new" tire size looks to be 16.9x34 or 380 85 R34. The tractor has 7.50x16 on the front and is setting level as it is. What brand of tire should I look at to maintain the sidewall height and tread width I have and not have the tractor looking odd with "ballon" tires on the back? I use the tractor to do some spraying and it fits the rows well as it is. If I remember right BKT tires are a bit narrower than some of the other Big name brands but not sure on the sidewall height. I've seen posts from folks who use other brands and appreciate any and all input.
Thanks!

According to the Firestone website the next smaller size is 14.9x34. It should be on a 13" rim. And that's an odd size, so you'll often see 14.9 tires on 12" rims.

So, I agree 16.9 is your size. It is frustrating that there can be so much difference in the same tire size.

Looking for an American made economy tire, I bought two pairs of American Farmer rear tires, and I don't like them. I disliked the 18.4x38's so badly that I got rid of them. I put up with the 14.9x28's I got, on a little use tractor.

I can only say I stay with Firestone tires. From there it's a choice of what they offer in a size.

If it's got 14-34 now it likely has 14" wheels. If it has 14" wheels I would not put less than a 16.9-34 on it. If it's got 15" wheels, then you should have 18.4R34 on them...
In terms of brand I'd go with Firestone if you want a good radial or Mitas if they price out better. Bias... I would probably go for a Galaxy. Firestone are probably a lot more money than Galaxy in bias and not that much better anymore..

16.9-34 would be the new size as others have said , 18.4-34 would be the old 15-34. I will add I have a set of bkt 13.6-38's for about 3 yrs. they have held up good so far but are left to be desired as far as traction compared to a firestone.

I wouldn't dispute that... but the information does change depending on the tire and the manufacturer. What I can tell you is that 18.4 radials do fine on 15" wheels.
