MH44 No Leaks

I ran the engine for about an hour with radiator cap loose, then shutdown, set valves and re-torque, ran with pressure on cap for an hour.

No leaks.

Important notice, the stud holes in a MH block are not standard, you must use a class 3 stud or it will leak, I wonder if other blocks are too.

Do you think the block threads came factory oversize? Or possibly someone accidentally retapped them with a H7 tap?

I can't imagine why they would come oversize. That is typically only for something that will be plated. The plating would bring the thread to standard size.

Interesting...

Dave if your like me the second you get it all together and painted up then it will leak some where. LOL

The studs fit in the spare block just like the original block, so only thing I can figure is they were that way.
