Last night I got home and found a dead 8 point deer in front of the dog house. Ok it wasn't the whole deer. Just the head and rack. One tine was broke half way off, but it still looked pretty impressive. The snap latch on the dog's chain doesn't work all the time anymore and he went scavenging for food. It looked pretty fresh. This morning I e-mailed the game warden and asked if he was interested in looking at it. No response at this time. I am guessing poachers at work as I don't believe bucks have been in season for over a month.

Dads dog kept bringing up deer bones to the house I told dad to follow dog. He did, down to edge of the woods. He called me said there was a big buck dead there, hit by a car . Cut the rack off,when got chance to look at it WOW ~.

The other possibility is a coyote or bobcat kill.
