While reading most the comments below about what lasts longer than expected , have you ever stoped and wonderd about the dinger in the cars ... .no one mentioned the SEAT BELT WARNING BUZZER BELL chime DINGER .they never fail the entire life of the vehicle ,and are nearly impossible to disable without breaking something critically necessary if they are rendered disabled ,,. . imho , one could go rite down the line in a junkyard turn the key and open the door, connect a jump box and I would bet 9 out of 10 would sound off ....the seat belt warning guys should build the ENTIRE CAR ,AND most everything else in this crazy world

Find a matching seat belt or extension and hook that in its happy and no more bells. Fun with cops keep your seat belt low and wear a jacket the same color as your seat belt

That and the "Check Engine" light,, those things will last for years,, The one in my old 94 F-150 has been on for the last 7 years..

The dinger to remind me to take key out of ignition quit working. I'm so forgetful I didn't realize my dinger was broken. After having a few dead batteries for not removing key because the accessories were still being powered up when the key was left in, I found my dinger problem, speaker in door was bad, repaired it. So I happy to report I'm glad my dinger is working because my memory isn't.

Probably the same guys that designed that little square Kevlar tag in the neck of a shirt. When the shirt is in tatters and shreds, that little tag will still be like new.

Or just put the seatbelt across in front of your body, no dinger and the added benefit of not meeting up with the dashboard in a wreck

..and still irritating the back of my neck!!!

Works ok until you have to drive through gates and I've got fast cattle sometimes they don't like to wait until I get the seat belt hooked and un hooked they would rather make a break for it while your busy also a little inconvenience when picking up hay bales and stopping every couple feet

If your not on the road I see no problem with ignoring the seat belt alarm. Just let it ring. It will eventually shut off.

Well yeah i don't wear it in the field etc either, but it only dings the first few seconds when you start the truck anyhow
