Just picked up a Farmall 560 with this engine in it i was told it came off of a
combine but can not seem to find any identification or serial numbers on it. It has a
tall oil filter on it like i have seen on a farmall A or B. It also does not have any
diamonds on the block any wear telling me that it is one of the diamond engines. It
also has an odd governor that i have never seen before.

The area of the front cover that the frame rail jogs around is where the hydraulic pump would mount on a combine.

Look on the other (right) side of the engine, towards the front of the block and below the cylinder head for a flat machined surface with some ID info stamped in it. For instance, a gas engine from a 503 combine would be stamped "C 282."

Yes i know exactly wear you are talking about to find identification numbers we have a d301 from a 715 combine and that is where the numbers were but all this engine has is two codes that do not really tell me anything one is HTLH and the other is 9070. This motor also has a governor set up that i have never seen before. Also it has a small dip stick on the left hand side of the block with a fill cap and breather on top of the valve cover which i have also never seen before

That is a truck engine. They were used in combines before they switched to using the tractor engine. Most likely a BD 282.
