I'll go with snake owner. Been a lot of years since these started to become popular and there are folks out there with some really big reptiles in their homes.
 
I've seen an add looking for road-kill and other dead animals to feed African lions. The add was for south central Indiana. Possibly something related to that
 
That's what I used to feed my snakes. Could also buy cases of frozen rats on the internet and have them next day.
 
A buddy of mine had 8 African lions and he would pick up 'road kill' deer to feed his big cats. I don't think still-born pigs, goats or rabbits would make a meal for the big cats.
 
Not as strange as my ad looking for replacement organs.

As far as road kill goes, as posted below, in some states it is illegal to pick up road kill. CA is one of them. IL used to be only deer and you had to call that in.
