CDL Physical frequency

At least every 2 years. If you have a problem (ie. high blood pressure) that they want to monitor, it may be less.

It can be a one or two year depending on what the Doctor feels comfortable with. He has guide lines that he has to follow and is the person that has to sign you off and it is his name on the certificate.

Every two years if your healthy. Once each year if you have certain health issues like high blood pressure and diabetes. If those issues get worse you could be on a three month requirement twice and then your license suspended if the health issues are not corrected. This is for interstate driving. The in state or intrastate is different.

Two years max. I have had to get it done every 3 months. But gave me 1 yr. Last time. Depends what is wrong with you.

If no health problems it is every 2 years but if you have health problems it could be every 3 months. I am diabetic and I have to have one every year.

I JUST got it done on Friday January the 25th. First time I'd seen a doctor since my last one 2 years ago. He gave me 2 years. He said he doesn't usually go 2 years, but I'm so healthy he did for me. Dunno if he was blowing smoke. I'm 35 years old, 6 foot, and 265 lbs. Obese by BMI so I can't be all that healthy, but my other numbers were good. 20/10 vision.

wolfman you only have the in state or intrastate CDL. If you go out of state or interstate you have to have a physical every two years of more often if you have medical issues.

if your under 50 years old you must have a physical every 2 years, once you pass 50 you have to get one every year, this is now nation wide as long as your running in a for hire commercial vehicle, i just failed mine due to hearing, and vision this year, what i dont know is how this affects farm or private hauling, but im betting with all the changes made you have to still have a cdl medical card now, weather your hauling for hire or for your own use your still running on public roads

Never heard the under 50 deal. I am 55 and take one every 2 years. Actually just had it week and a half ago. Its good for 2 years

As others have stated : standard issue is two years. Less if the doc finds health issues. Determined by doc depending on issues.

just what the dr told me and they started me on a yearly basis once i past 50 up to this year when i couldnt pass anymore, which is ok, all the money in trucking is gone now, compared to how it was 30 years ago, and too many untrained dot cops around writing tickets for perfectly good equipment , 1 wrote 7 tickets on a new truck that hadn't even made it home from the dealer, judge threw them all out and the cop is no longer around here so that one must have not been his only screw up, nothing wrong with being safe thats their job, after it was the drivers job first, but they need more training , the small amount of trucking i need done ill just have friends do it for me,

I have an insulin exempt CDL and that medical card is good for a year. I see my eye dr once a year. I see my endocrinologist four timrs a year. I have to send these dr reports to DC. I don't what all will happen when you hit 75.

When a friend of mine went to renew his health card, they measured his neck and told him he needed to take a sleep apnea test. It was going to cost 1300 and his insurance wouldn't pay for it. They told him if he then needed the apnea test with the machine that it could cost 3500.

I also take blood pressure meds. When I went for my physical I took along my medical history from my primary care physician which showed how my blood pressure has been controlled over the years. (My doctor no longer does the physicals}. The doctor I went to said there was no reason why I could not receive a two year card. Interstate.
