Working on 1949 B JD it has a noise in muffler i thought ex valve.Pulled head valves were leaking did valve job. Put back together noise still there ??????

Did you do the valve job or was it done by a professional..?

Explain just what that "sound" is..!!

Maybe it is just the normal sound of the trailing cylinder missing, as is very common on these, at idle..?

Is the compression good..??

Plugs Clean..?

Valve job done at machine shop. Compression is low 60psi on both cylinders carb. rebuilt, has good spark it sounds like exhaust valve is out
