F 12 Farmall

I have a 1934 F12. A friend was over today and we got to wondering where the crank was
kept. There must be a secret place to put the crank so it would be there when you needed
it. HELP!!

My F14 crank fits inside the right frame rail. Don't know where it's supposed to go.

just went through the f-12 owners manual and didn't see a storage area. Doesn't the crank have a hole in it to allow it to be pinned to the ratchet stub coming out of the front bolster? We used to stick a long cotter pin through it to hold it in place. Bill

Mine fits in the drawbar bracket on the top of the rear axle. Thread it in handle first.

I always kept mine pinned to the shaft on the front of the tractor where it was used.

I collect old tractor books, and the pictures of old F-series generally show the crank pinned in place on the front, hanging down vertically.
