O.T. Apple Trees

I was just wondering what Apple trees some of you may have in your orchard or yard? I ordered 4 trees, 1-Red Rome Beauty, 1-Winesap, 1-Honeycrisp. I'm going to make a little cider and give apples to friends and co-workers.

I remember seeing a post I guess back in November that some one had a "Jumbo" apple tree. If you know who it is let me know, I'd like to get a start of that tree. My email is open..

Thanks
John

I've got about a dozen, Macs, Red Delicious, Empire, Cortland, Northern Spy, Criterion. But the one we like by far the best is Mutsu (Crispin). We get frosted most springs so don't get apples most years. But the one good year we had that one tree produced about 5 bushels.

I have a Mac tree at home, and 4 other trees at the farm, I'm not sure what they are, just that 1 is a red delicious. But those apples are always small. Here's some pics. I used my hay wagon as a ladder to pick the apples.

John I'm a little closer to St. Louis than you. I have 1 golden delicious, 2 rome beauty, and 2 jonathons. When I make cider, I try to use a variety of apples. To me, i get a better flavor

Honey crisp, golden delicious, Macintosh make real good cider. A little work and a guy can make pies, jam, apple sauce, and a lot of cider on a few trees.

I have a MacIntosh dwarf tree in my yard. I have had a multi variety tree with 5 types Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Johnathan, Winesap, and Granny Smith. It was great! Jim

We have a Macintosh and a Yellow Delicious in the yard. At my moms there is is a whole orchard of all kinds from when it was my grandparents farm.

i have macs, johnathan, yellow delicious, granny smith and honey crisp. my macs and johnathans are my best producers.

I've still got two old, conventional size Jonathan trees that I trim down to dwarf size, a dwarf Gala, a Yellow delicious, a pear tree and a peach tree. That's down from about 40 apple trees in the old, conventional orchard Grandpa had here when I was a kid.

Try a couple of Harralsons. They are biannuals so a pair is best. Also have the Harralred, Honey Crisp, Granny Smith, Graeburn, and Connell. I add four fruit trees every summer.
