Saw this mess on the news, involved 40 cars and 17 tractor-trailers on 1/2 mile stretch near Indiana/Ohio line yesterday.

We came thru there about an hour before all this happened. We were just getting off the interstate on west of there when the white-out hit us so I just stopped under the overpass for a few minutes. The wind was terrible at that time, along with genius drivers that think 80mph is too slow any time, and it is a recipe for disaster.

That being a race track is why I never use the interstates and I am only 5 mile from I75 a bit north of there.

The only thing worse than cleaning that mess up would be investigating it. Bad day to be an ISP officer. Talk about paperwork.

3 of them on 70 here in PA. 2 of 79N. I got caught for over 2 hours in the 79 one while i was less than 2 miles from my exit. l Took a nap in the middle of an interstate. First time
that has happened when in the drivers seat.

News reports said that the collision was caused by a tractor trailer driving far too fast for the conditions.

Sadly, these days, few people around here know how to drive in rain, let alone snow.

They spent 9 hours cleaning it up. There was
a whole fleet of wreckers and rollbacks
hauling cars & trucks away. Tow company's
had there yards full and we're still sorting
it out today. I'm sure insurance adjusters
were all waiting to point fingers.
