bevel gears

Need to replace some small 14-tooth right-angle bevel gears on my grinder-mixer. Genuine parts are available but they are unbelievably expensive. They are 14-tooth with a 1" keyed bore and appear to be quite common. They run dry and run quite slowly, so they wouldn't need to be precision machined or polished. Anybody know of a possible supplier of such gears at more reasonable cost? Thanks!

There is a pop up that I get advertising "Rush Gear" They seem to make all kinds ... Also there is an outfit called Boston Gear that has a catalogue of std gears ...

Both Boston gear and Martin gear have gear catalogs on Amazon. You'll need to figure out the pitch and pressure angle along with number of teeth and other dimensions. Most likely they will still need some machining to fit your application.

Here are a couple sources. Martin Sprocket offers hardened tooth option, a plus if running open and dry. Notice there are more measurements than just number of teeth and bore. Pitch diameter and hub length are more important. Since it is 1:1 ratio, the number of teeth is not important.

Martin will give you support, if you don't see something that will work, they will make them, or offer you something in a blank hub that can be machined to fit.

What is the specific application? Auger drive? Bale feeder? Spout swing or lift? What make and model?
Lots of older grinder-mixers rotting away behind sheds that may still have useable gears on them.
Thinking outside of the box the old crank style camper jacks had gears very similar to what you described.
-Side and or spider gear from an old differential may be another cheap source.
Some trailer landing gear jacks used them as well.

If you can't find used, you just need two gears that match, you don't need to worry about exactly what you have since you aren't trying to match them.
