quick attachments

Is there a product that will allow you to convert a front end loader to a quick attach mechanism. I have a loader that has 4 pins for the bucket, I would like to be able to change the bucket out without having to pull the 4 pins everytime. Is there something out there that will do that or will I just have to manufacture something.

Never seen one made for an older loader but have seen where a person used things like a pintlde hitch to make a quick hook up thing. A lot also depends on what you wanting to do as in if you want a bale spike they make them that go in the loader bucket and as simple as 1 bolt and it is on or off.

Go look at a newer JD loader.Friend has a newer JD(5400/5420?) tractor with a quicktach bucket. A 'saddle' on top and 2 short pins/studs that use a common lynch pin. Pretty slick!!

A good welding shop should have templates for a quick attach plate for your model of loader, or can make one up. You will have to weld a plate hook up to your bucket and whatever other attachments you have for your loader. Handier than a pocket in a shirt!

Look up titan attachments out of Tennessee. They have an eBay store also. I bought a blank skid steer style quick attach from them for my deere 158 loader. Took a little fabrication but works nice. Also bought some forks and a bale spear from them. Very competitive prices and free shipping.

avant 1735,
The 3 pt on Jubilee only has one way hydraulics, up. Gravity pulls it down. Rear attachments like back blade and rake float over uneven ground.

My front bucket has 2 way hydraulics, so there is no way for my rear attachments to float.

My solution was to make a simple device I bolt on my forks, then use a chain to allow rake to float. Very easy to make, very cheap and works great.

Find a skid steer junk yard and get a setup off a bobcat, you will then be able to hook up to about 50 skid steer attachments.

I have an older Du-Al (now Woods) 200 loader and I can't imagine any quick-attach system working better. The material bucket is factory made, and I have home-adapted manure bucket, pallet fork and bale spear. Many times I don't even get off the tractor to switch attachments. Also removing and re-attaching the main loader is easy and fast.

Yes there are 3 or 4 companies that make retrofit quick attach headstocks for loaders. They cost about 700-1000$ though.

Some people make simple pin grabber brackets for their loader but it does push the attachment out farther.

Was just looking up the same again.

Not cheap, and moves stuff out a few inches, but I ran across these companies. I'm sure there are others once you start searching:

Worksaver as mentioned.

I've got two loaders. One wasn't quick attach when I got it,the other had a Horst quick attach. I bought new steel for less than $100 and made a QT just like the factory job for the one that didn't have it. It didn't take much effort to change all my buckets and attachments.

Here's a link to a company that makes them. You can see several different configurations.

Hayspear.com is another supplier, they have the popular conversions or will custom make them.

In my area there are several local fab/welding shops that custom make them, most of those shops also manufacture buckets, grapples or other attachments, check with any fab/welding shop advertising the attachments, they might make the conversions too. I bought one from a guy about 40 miles away who was advertising attachments on Graigslist, gave him all the dimensions from the existing pin connections and it fit fine, cost was $700.00 picked up, including new pins. He would have preferred to have my original bucket at his shop for a template and he would have put a quicktach mount plate on that as well had I wanted him to.

Best to do a little research, they aren't all made the same, some aren't very heavy duty, some really extend the mount location forward, which can hurt your rollback capacity.

I put one on from Hayspear, on a Schwartz loader. I have the skid-steer type mount for attachments. That was the hardest, cutting off the four pin mounts and mounting the skid-steer plates on the bucket and forks. I should have done it long time ago.

The absolute best one coms from an out fit called ATI . Just google ATI, I think it is attachments international inc. They make one that fits most loaders.j

You can buy conversion kits to make any loader a Euro/Global attach or Skidsteer attach. HLA makes them.

I priced on for an IH 2200 loader, wasn't cheap, but would have meant going from pin on to Euro with nothing more than writing a cheque.

The JD system is the only one I have ever used. I like it. Workes good for us. Shame everyone's not on the same page. I can change bucket to forks or spear in seconds. But have to get off and put in two linch pins.
