shopping list grows longer

Was out plowing snow the other day with my farmall H. I didn't want to because I have a bad tire and am afraid of it flattening. While plowing I came to a stop and was going to back up when I noticed a height drop in my seat. Got up and had a look. YEP the pipe that goes from the front pin and bushing has collapsed do to old age I guess. So now I look for a seat assembly as well as a 38"tire. Yeah that is going to be easy. Making this even more fun is my part time job is with CMU. I can only work 48 hours per 2 week pay period. This is suppose to allow students the chance to work while attending classes and aide student loan payback. Its an Obamma program. I am hoping for a full time position to come my way soon(5 openings do to retirements)but don't want to spend money that I don't have yet. SOOOOO if anyone has a seat assembly or a 12.4x38 tire for a farmall H that they don't need to make a profit on I am willing to bargain!! thanks guys.

I am pretty sure that the seat assembly on your H was used in other tractors too. The one on my Oliver 70 looks the same.

Seems a bit of work with the welder and you should be able to fix up that seat if your not looking for a perfect restoration

He's got some other ones in this add too. He and his dad collect IH as well as parting tractors,he'll probably have the seat.

Mike,if you don't want to pay the price in those ads I linked to,I've got one here,I don't remember right off hand of it's a 12.4 or 13.6. It doesn't have a lot of tread on it. I don't remember if there are any boots in it or not,I just know the tube wasn't sticking out. I bought that DC Case last year with a good pair on it and put those on my 77. This one was one I took off. You know me,I hate to sell anything, but if you need it,let me know.

If you still need a seat assembly, I have a few of the Monroe seat assemblies that came off of either a h or m. They can't be worth too awful much I wouldn't think.. Shipping would be the worst, but even that wouldn't be too awful horrible.. Shipped a complete narrow front via ups (about 140 pounds) think it was about $75..

If you're interested my email is [email protected]

I've got the seat pipe and tool box Mike.
Assuming it's the one you need.
Free for you if you want to pick it up.
I don't think I can help with the tire though.
