Cost of having repairing a tire?

My terramite tires are a nail magnets. I was clearing brush, backed up and saw a board on the ground with a nail sticking up. Well one nail poked two holes in tire, first time when I was going forward and the second time when I backed up. Two holes were about 2 inches apart.

I went to the tire barn told them to install a tube in tire. They called around and said there is no tubes available. So they plugged the tire for me for Free. Nice Christmas gift. I also found a hole in side wall. They plugged that one too.

After I got home, I went to ebay and found there is a tube available, so I ordered a pair of them. It's only a matter of time before a nail finds my tires again. Both front tires have been tubed.

By putting a tube in your not going to save your self much because that same nail that got the tire will also get a tube just have to patch 2 things then the tire and the tube

It they are like my skidsteer tires, a tube allows me to patch my own because they are a b*tch to seat without a tube...

Boy I got lucky when I bought my skid steer. It has McLauren solid tires on it, no way to get a flat and they ride fine.

I found out my rear tires are also used on skidders, 31x15.5. I've read many post where someone whats to know how to replace tires that were foamed. A DIY rental place had their tires foamed, cost them a Grand for all 4 tires. The front tires are slightly angled, caused tread to wear on just one side. No thanks to foaming. Not to mention the ruff ride. A grand will buy many tubes if I can't patch the tube.

New rear tires are around $2-250. Tubes are only $29. My rear tires show a lot of battle scares too. Tubes is a simpe fix. Need to avoid nails, which is sometimes impossible.

I had tire barn order me tubes for my front tires. They installed them for free, only charged me for tubes, $16.05.

Can't say enough good about how tire barn treats me.

Do yourself a favor, take it back, have them buff off the plugs, put a patch over the darn things, then install the tubes.
