I straightened my trailer jack for the last time. I bet I am not the only one who drives off, forgetting to raise the jack. I ordered one from amazon. It will be here by Friday. I had to pay tax, but not shipping. The best deal in town. 5000 lb one for around 37.50 Stan

I haven't done that yet. But I've damaged tail lights by turning right and end of trailer swing left into a tree or guard rail. Plan to relocate lights to fender.

Did you also forget the towbar pin.Or to take the belt drive wheel off of the tire.I do all the repairs on the stores fertilizer trailers.

None of the trailers I pull around are very heavy. The worse thing I do is plow a furrow through the yard with the base of the jack. Makes the wife really proud of me.

Yeah, I'm guilty too. Although the most recent screw-up was different. I loaded the min-excavator and it was wet and cold and I was in a hurry so off I headed. Trailer seemed to drag on the way across the pasture so I stopped to take a look. So, have any of you left the ramps down? Interesting tracks in the filed but no damage other than my pride.

Must be catchy!

I drove off from the gas pump today with the Yukon with the nozzle still stuck in the gas filler.

I can't ever remember doing that before.

Thankfully, it just fell out with no damage to either side!

Naw, never forgot that. These Wilmar spreaders are PTO drive to the slinger discs and chain drive from a wheel to the belt, but I never forgot that, just the jack. I have to furnish my own pin, so I never forget that.

I chased one of my coworkers 3 miles because he forgot to raise the low-boy ramps. I was blowing my horn all the while. When he did stop my first question was, Do you ever look in your mirrors? Why? Whats wrong?

I saw a utility truck do that a couple weeks ago except the hose popped at the breakaway coupling. I wasn't malicious, the guy had gone in the store and then apparently had forgotten. He calmly drove away, dragging the hose with him. I wonder how far he got.

NO need to do that, as there were several "observers".

And this is a small town.

I'm sure I'm gonna hear about it.

I have left mine down but could not move it loaded with jack down. I hope I never bend mine as a 12000 lb. jack stand would be a lot of work to replace.

Stan, the older I get the more forgetful I get. Sounds like I'm not the only one. AND WE ARE STILL DRIVING, SCAREY!!

on the lighter trailers 18 foot and smaller i replaced the jacks with the kind that swings up and pins parallel with the trailer frame, my problem wasnt leaving the jack down, but having it get hung up in rough ground as well as speed bumps, poorly designed shop and gas station entrances ect when fully retracted, and this is when towed behind 1 tons

Was on a tractor and meet this guy on the road pulling a fertilizer spreader with his shining fairly new FWA JD with his two year old son in cab. There was a white line down the middle of the road where his apron was running. He turned into the field two miles from his house.

I often use my 6X10 hydraulic dump trailer behind the loader tractor when moving dirt- using a receiver hitch tube I added to the quick hitch. Leave the jack extended, pick it up with the 3 point. I have left it too low on so many occasions that I have had to reinforce the jack tube internally to hold up. Bulldog will not sell replacement tubes ;(
