We have one in a 1700 Owatonn skid loader.Needing a fuel pump for it got one several years ago at the auto parts store seemed to match over to a Ford Pinto engine. But now that number is no longer good and they cant match it. Any Help Thanks

Might have them look up one for an 83 or 84 ranger with the 2.8, if yours is the german engine, lots of parts for the 2.8 fit.

I bought a small generic electric fuel pump for my Dodge truck at NAPA for somewhere in the $40 area. It will feed a carburetor nicely when hooked up to the run position of the key switch. Many guys in our truck club have done the elect fuel pump and it seems to work well.

The narrow angle V4 was a German Taunus originally, some SAABs used it also when their own 2 stoke wouldn't meet newer emissions standards. See if they can cross reference it by those auto applications. OR just get a Walbro electric fuel pump as others suggested- local Farm And Fleet had them for about $29.95 couple years back.

Ebay has a V4 pump. search for FP14284
or you can still get 2.0 litre German Ford pump as used in 1973 Pinto.

Off your subject but 30 years ago I parted a road paver. That unit was powered by what I thought then was the neatest little power unit I had ever seen. V4 ford engine. I removed the complete unit and put it in the dry. Now 30 years latter I am thinking of some kind of project to put the engine in. Does anyone have any idea what the horsepower of one of those v4 fords would be?
