There have been reports of NLA or very expensive parts for them. I would spend some time on Messick's site checking parts availability and pricing.

I looked up a injector and a water pump and didn't think it was way out of line

Is it 4wd? Front axle parts might be hard to find, be sure it is mechanically sound up front.

Fine little tractors just getting older. Nh switched manufacturers a while back, so parts become an issue that way.

Going to see it this weekend think it is 2 wheel drive could be wrong.

Friend of mine has one, its about impossible to find parts for so he bought one with a bad engine, and one with a bad transmission to use for spare parts. You can usually find one, or two that doesn't work for some reason pretty cheap for spare parts.
