Big Cattle Run

Had a big run of cattle at the local sale barn yesterday. Probably the biggest of all year. Is this cattle coming of pasture or fear of the market going lower? They were way off anyway. I sold some, I got bit.

Probably both. Most are coming off grass and with the thinking of lower prices there is no need to try to fatten them. My guess is mainly coming off grass. Bob

Same here, we had a big run also. I wasn't the biggest of the year but it was close. The prices were way off. I sold a load of steers 3 weeks ago and they prices are about $10-20 cwt down from then. I'm guessing they are unloading now expecting the price to fall more. Most around here have plenty of feed to get through the winter.
