Tire options for Ram 1500

Needing New tires for my truck. They are 275/60/r20. Been looking at Hankook Dynapro AT-M and Cooper Discoverer AT/3 or the Cooper ATP. Also have the Firestone all terrains in the mix. Reviews and suggestions? It came with Goodyear Wrangler SR-A. Worst Tire I've had on a truck...

I have 275-65-18 tires on my pick up. Last set were B F Goodrich All Terrain. Very good all weather traction the first three years (36000 miles) then it seemed like they gave up. Decent traction but nothing like I thought they should have been. Removed them this fall at 86,000 miles and 6/32 tread left. Priced new tires Goodrich $1650 and Hankooks at $1335. Tried a new Brand. Capitol. They have a very nice tread pattern and a lot of sipes. Look like they should be very good in all weather conditions. I asked about traction and mileage and was told they were as good as the other brands. Guess I will find out. They were $725.00 mounted and balanced. Had a set of Wranglers on a pick up a few years back. If there was a rain cloud in the sky, you were sideways in the road. If there was snow, you couldn't get to the road.

Put a set of the Cooper Discoverer AT/3 on my Ram this summer. Same size as what you are considering. Less than 5000 miles yet, but I like them! They are quiet, ride nice and tread is much more aggressive than the Goodyear Wrangler HP's and hope better mileage (wear).
Got mine from Orschelin. 4 for the price of 3 on sale.

I've got the Cooper ATP on my duramax, about 15000 miles on them and they are great tires. I chose them over the AT3 for the scalloped edges...gives you a little more side bit. They do have a little whine to them, but no worse than any other AT in my opinion and definitely not as bad as an MT.

i got used pickup 2006 Chev 1500 4 wheel drive had Hankooks on it worst dam tire i ever owned went thru the winter with them put Firestone Destinations on it nice ride and Quiet i think if i can"t get there without mud and snows i dont need to go

I've had the AT3's on my Durango for 5 years now and have been very happy with them in all conditions. Just bought a set of them for my Ram 2500, happy there too. No experience with the other tires you mentioned.

I just bought a set of Hankook Dynapro ATM for my dodge last week. I only have a few hundred miles on them so I don't know much about them other than they are a lot quieter than the goodyears they replaced. They aren't as aggressive a tread and don't grip in the mud as well as I would like but seem to be a good tire. They came with a free road hazard warranty and free rotation.

Hancook was the only tires I would run on my school buses. I never had a bus stuck with those on
the drive axle. They wore like iron and never once had a defect.

Yes they will. My 13 had the ghetto fabulous plastic chrome 20s on it. I had them pull the 17s off my 11. even though 20s come on almost all Rams, they are an option,17s are the standard issue.

If the hankooks are a 6 ply C they should be ok. If I were selling you tires I would probably recomend the Coopers or Firestone. They work better on our Madison County Iowa roads than the hankooks. I've run and sold all of them, but I don't know the type of stone they put on your county roads. Different kinds of crushed stone will effect the milage you get out of the tires. If you have a local tire shop, NOT Walmart or some similar type of tire shop, stop in there and get their recommendation. Don't be afraid to talk to more than 1 shop.
