Today I harvested milo with my Farmall 350 and All-Crop 66 combine. The milo was really tall this year - it was every bit as tall as the 13.6-38 rear tires. Since the cutterbar on an All-Crop can only get maybe 2 feet off the ground there was a lot of material going though so it was first gear with the TA back. I plugged it up once when the tall stubble snagged the belt off that runs the rack and shoe - made for quite a pile behind the cylinder. This was an unusual summer in that the fall crops were never stressed for moisture and the yields are pretty good in this area. This small patch made right around 100 bu/acre.
