Baled hay Nov 4

Baled hay in s.w. Pa on Nov 4. About 77 degrees, slight breeze, full sunshine. Not one bale had to be separated for mulch. Stuff smells good, light and fluffy. The amazing thing is that the ground is dry.

I am in ND, just a little south of the 49th parallel, and laughed this past AM at the dog eating still-green and unfrozen grass out of the hedge at the north boundary of the wife's yard.

Most years it would be brown and crispy and dried up LONG before the 5th of November.

DANGED GloBull warming!

We are located a bit further north.. in the Mohawk Valley Region of New York State. Saw one of my neighbors baling hay on the 3rd of Nov. Baling this late in the season is not unheard of around here... especially when we have a normal to dry precipitation year.

I think I have baled hay every month of the year in sw wi.! LOL I have 100 acres to cut yet but corn is more important to get out.

Baled some today. Nice weather so might just as well take advantage of it. Hay dried nicely and looked and smelled good.
