I have been in the market for a 2wd, 25 to 45 hp tractor for some time and have recently come across a MITSUBISHI MT2201 TRACTOR for sale. (Albany NY crags list) Anyone have any experience with this tractor and care to comment on them? Parts availability, reliability. dealer locations in the Northeast and New England? Your comments would be much appreciated.

Mitsubishi built the A6M Zero fighter plane that led the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. Apparently the "infamy" has worn off. gm

Mitsu used to build the small CaseIH diesel tractors in the 16 - 25HP range. Example CaseIH 235 compact. Good little tractor overall. Only tow issues we have had were the ignition swicth system has a weak link somewhere and is a bugger to track down. We bypassed the start position using a starter button (went old school)

The other issue came with the tractor (purchased used) was the Hi/Lo range selector pin was broken (Hydro tractor). We split the tractor and replaced that pin with a Grade 8 bolt and have had no issues since. No idea how the PO broke it.

This 235 compact is an 18HP with the 3 cyl Mitsu Diesel and sips fuel. We use it with a 4 foot bush hog and ran it all day with no issues after fixing those two issues. Has around 1000 hours on it now.

Gary, I was touring the Cavalla submarine, it's on display in Galveston.

Inside, they have added air conditioning, split system units made by Mitsubishi... Not a good place to have their name displayed!

What is your point? The war ended many, many years ago.... please try to catch up, it's a whole different world now.

We've had wars with the French, English,Spanish, Italians, Germans, N. Koreans, Vietnamese and Southerners and I bet this list is not complete. Do you get bent whenever their products are mentioned? Do you know the origin of the BMW symbol?
Thanks rbhuntn and W-B for your replies.

DZ-- ,

I overhauled a 2 cyl mitsi several years ago.

The rings per cylinder cost the price of a first

class seat from japan.
