There are so many old cars and trucks that sweet feet is going to over load. I can remember every one of these and a couple before I was born. Corvair convertible, my grandfather had a jeep like this, Hudson hornet, Pintos, Flat head six and eight, all these poor trucks, study with the big nose . I thinned it down cause I had even more pictures. Like walking through a forgotten time zone. SO many of these I know. That green wagon I knew a carpenter who had one. I had a 1971 Pinto. On and On. This was long but what a lot of good old vehicles! Desoto, Packard, Hudson, Plymoth, Jeep Willies, Etc. Hope you all enjoy.

jeffcat,

Thanks for posting - really enjoyed these photos!! You got a lot of great shots. Would love to walk around there myself with a camera in hand.

Have to get to a junkyard next year... regardless of whether or not we need any parts. :)

Great photos. Heres one of a 52 Ford truck I sold, the nest survived a 400 mile trip on an open trailer, but it was behind a 1927 Tangley Calliope.

What a great place to wander through for a few hours. That 54 Mercury had me interested until I notice it is even more rusty than the 52 that I have. All the vehicles look pretty rusty actually.

Old cars rotted pretty bad to begin with,
some may have been half rotten when they
were put there

Doesn't look like much left to salvage for parts ? Looks like the stuff left sitting in OHIO. It rots up terrible.
They missed their big chance a few years back when scrap was sky high. Been better than hitting the lotto.

Thanks so much for posting the pics, Jeffcat. Would love to wander thru those gems for a day.
Dad left me a 50 Plymouth, 51 DeSota, 49 Chyrsler and another ? As a kid spent many a hour in them.

hat part of the world is that in to rust so badly?! Late 1950's models in yards around here in central Texas never look anywhere nearly as bad as some of those.

Those cars are all too far gone. Ihave been to a place like that in South Jersey. All the frames are rotted and non are restorable because they sat too long.

Should of closed the door on the old 4 hole Buick. Don't want it to rain in on it. The Studebaker is not much any more as some one stole the bullet out of the grill. LOL Thanks for the photos.

That Buick in the 7th picture would have been cool when new. I think it would have been a 56, maybe a 55. My dad had a 57 4 door special that would really run. A Toyota/Buick dealer in Matoon, IL has a 57 hardtop the same green color with that clear plastic seat covers.
