New Idea 329 Auger Tube

Regarding the Auger Tube, thanks to all of you for your responses to my post. I will check with the dealer for NOS. I have not done that yet.

Up the river (Mississippi) from La Crosse, WI is Winona, MN. I am told there is a company that mfg's and repairs augers. I will likely load up the auger and take it there.

For now I bought another Super Sheller that I am getting ready for the field.

Thanks again to all that responded. Thanks to the gentleman that checked the picker in Eleva WI. My wife went to High School at Eleva-Strum High School.

I had one of those darned things sitting around here for quite a while,complete,but nobody was interested so I took it to the crusher. Since then I've been bombarded with "I wish I'd have known that"s.

If you do find a NOS,negotiate. One of those things would be taking up a lot of space,and how many more times would they get the chance to sell it? A neighbor needed the center part of a front axle for an Oliver Super 55 one time and the dealer had one. The price was about as ridiculous as you'd think it would be. He told the parts guy to let him know when it was on sale. He told him to wait a minute and went and did some figuring. He said "It's on sale today". He bought it for 25 cents on the dollar. Anybody else wouldn't have even thought about a new one,they'd have just gotten a used one out of salvage.
