Just got this Leyland 384, has a few mechanical glitches. One is a leaky rear-axle seal on the left side. Taking the tire and hub off will be a challenge being filled with fluid. Other then that, how complicated is is it to change the seal? I am waiting for a repair manual. I posted on the the lesser known site ,but didn't get any replies.

I went out and looked at mine. It looks like there is a bolted on flange that holds the seal. If the tire is fluid filled i'd probably take the wheel off separate of the hub. The hub just slides off once you get the bolts loose. But I suspect it's rusted pretty solid. Heat would help. The clamp bolts are fine thread so lots of penetrant oil and patience. Email me if you have trouble. I know a guy that can get parts.
