My son said the price of milk was up $.60 per hundred this month. Seems the price of butter and powdered milk went up. It was unexpected and a nice bonus for a change. Seems New Zealand is suffering a drought again, too. However the big question there is whether or not China's economy has gone bad enough to prevent them from buying as much milk from the US as they did the last time.
On the more "normal" side, that cow the vets worked on for several hours and survived may live long enough to sell. The "extra" in the milk check this month should be just about enough to cover the vet bill.
