Anyone own a Ford Flex?

We were out looking at new/used cars/trucks for us, to drive going to tractor shows(covered THAT base). Drove a Flex. What a nice handling and riding machine!
Do any of you own one or know folks that do?
Would love to hear about your experiences with them.
I have see concerns about Sync Myfordtouch systems. Anything else?

Body styling of a cement block. We sell new one's all the time & haven't had many issues.
The people that own them Love them. I think they are a good car..

May be a good car but you will be a laughingstock because of the horrid appearance. Personally I wouldn't even accept a ride in one.

I thought so too until I drove one. A GREAT car/truck from the inside!Super ride, comfort and handling. And
LOTS of power.
From the outside...eh. But you drive it from the INSIDE. Its real nice in there.

buddy of mine has one, really a nice comfortable vehicle. easy to get in and out of too. very roomy inside. he has had no problems with it.

My daughter (Kansas City area) has had one for several years now. One ugly car from outside, but a great family car inside.

My thoughts were why are we copying some european styling when American cars have alway had good styling not copied from other countries. Ugly as heck.

Took me a couple of years to get used to seeing the boxy look. Now I kind of like them.
What makes them neat is you can order them in any number of color combos because of the roof line capable of being a different color. Certain color options give off a bit of a retro look which is neat.
Just google ford flex and click on "images" and you'll see what I mean although I didn't see one exactly as I described.
A guy here has one with white sides, black top, black wheels. Another guy here did just the opposite. Black sides with a white top, white wheels. I don't have one but have its cousin made on the same frame which is the Lincoln MKT so I can say with some opinion that it is very nice to drive. No mechanical issues so far. So if your on the fence about one but don't like the boxy look then the MKT has the curves. On another note, our dealer said that they don't get them used because people won't give them up. Even his wife traded in her Lincoln MKX for a Flex and won't let go of it.

I'm trying to talk my Wife into looking at them.
But she doesn't know if she wants to give up her '02
Suburban. She doesn't want to give up the altitude!
As far as the looks, I always liked the looks.
But My first car was a seven year old '70 Chevy wagon
that was so rusted out that it couldn't be used for the
family car anymore.
So, looks aren't that important to Me.

Seems to be styled to match my Range Rover. Better looking than a lot of modern cars which have all been designed in the same wind tunnel. My 2 cents worth. Phil

(quoted from post at 17:50:28 10/12/15) First one I saw, the thing that went through my mind was "the return of the Country Squire!"

Yes, exactly.

Didn't we have this conversation before?

Lady I work with has one. It is in the shop more than she drives it. Anything from tranny to engine to computer problems. I am a Ford man thru and thru, but I suggest you look at something else. Possibly these are only made on Mondays and Fridays.

I worked on them and they are not what was considered "problem vehicles" Most of what I experienced with the Sync/touch system was operator error. The system is not difficult to operate but is one where it's a better idea to read the owners manual instead of diving into it and pushing buttons, besides there are a lot of cool features to learn about while reading up on it.

I also rented one for a 4k mile 10 day road trip, through the rocky's and desert and the car handled all of it fine. We had 4 adults and one small child, with 3rd row seating the kid road in his own 3rd row bucket, the other 3rd row seat was folded down for luggage. They are roomy and comfortable and have plenty or features and power, the styling was a little odd but they are cleverly designed especially inside.
