My wife's uncle is celebrating his 95th birthday on the 12th. He was in the Navy and served on the Block Island in 1944. They were hunting submarines in the South Atlantic Ocean when hit by a torpedo and sunk.

Thank him for me also. Those guys and gals did a remarkable job.
My Daddy had a few German subs sunk as an intelligence officer who kept up with radio signals of them when they came up at night for orders.
