JD 653 header question

The auger is getting thin where the fingers are. Does anybody sell a replacement section you could just weld over top? Any other thoughts?

Schmidt machine might make the section your needing. They make a lot of auger parts for all makes. They are a MF dealer but a BIG parts maker for headers of all brands.

I was just wondering the other day if anyone was still running 653's we had one on a 6620 Side Hill back in the 80's I haven't seen one for a long time...they were a good concept but the newer and wider heads passed them up...
