Great Plains 1006 NT drill

Hello. Looking at several things. First, What is the feeling on the above mentioned drill....other than it needs to
be bigger. Also any ideas on what a 10 year old, fairly good shape unit is worth. it was owned by the local conservation
district.
Second, i'm getting tired of paying so much for liquid fert, and for the price of phos, is about half in the dry form.
most (including the above drill) does not have fert. I talked to the company, and for the 1006 models, there was a
design change, and that indeed dry can be added, but is expensive, about $6,000 LIST.

i'm kind of trying to figure this one out. have about 200 acres to do a year....kind of torn, get a used, add dry, get a bigger jd 750, for simular money, but still liq fert, or can rent a 10 from soil conservation for $10 a acre, but again
no fert.

if prices were better, would make things easier.

thanks

Just apply your fertilizer with a spinner spreader. Anything your planting with a drill will not need lots of nitrogen at planting. That is what you worry about getting away. Your P&K will be fine applied on top.
