2015 Kansas State Fair 4H/FFA entries

Ah..time for the state fair. It's also time for the deep-fried Twinkies, Oreos and jalepeno slices. The bacon-wrapped chicken drumsticks were pretty good, but I'm not so sure my gut will ever recover from the deep-fried jalapeno slices.
This was opening weekend of the 2015 Kansas State Fair. Here are the 4H/FFA tractor restoration entries. While not all of these tractors are perfect, one must remember that most high school ag shops now teach land, crop and food judging instead of antique tractor restoration.

I was at the Kansas State Fair today as well and enjoyed looking over these tractors and especially reading the project reports that were posted by them. I'm guessing that Titan Tire must be a sponsor of these projects - just about every one of these tractors had brand new Titan rubber. If there is some kind of sponsorship going on, kudos to that company.

The reserve grand champion late-model Deere A was done by a young man in our church.

Titan tire gave away more than 1000 sets of tires to 4H and FFA members in 2014.

Titan Tire does sponsor a lot of the tires. You can Google the program, but basically they need the name of the student, the FFA instructor and a few other inputs, such as the tractor model and serial number. You also need to take some "before" and "in process" photos and email them to the company to verify the process.
It's really a good program because the cost of a set of four tires can easily top $1K and a lot of high school students just don't have that kind of money.

Noticed the solid center rubber on the "H" and the "A's". is this also a titan tire. Looks like it would be a road tire. and not so much for traction but would wear forever

That is the new Titan WHO road tire. It's currently available in 12.4-38 and 13.6-38. Yes, it is specifically for driving 60 miles a day down the road.

all of them looked good. I have done 30-35 tractors I know the hard work to make them look good
