international 424 gotta choke to stay running

international 424 gas , starts great and i can drive it all around no problems, but when i start to put it under some load i gotta choke it to keep it running then eventually dies and have to wait a minute to restart, got a regular plastic inline fuel filter and seems to be mostly air, gas tank is almost full, and tried running seafoam through it, time to rebuild the carburator? the ignition resistor gets hot and the altenator might be overcharging cause the battery starts boiling over

Do you have something floating around in the gas tank covering up the hole? Sounds like something is limiting the gas flow. I'm not a fan of those generic filters ether.

Sounds like fuel is not flowing into the carb fast enough.

Be sure the tank is vented or has a vented cap. If the cap says "vented", be sure it really is and is not clogged.

There should be a drain plug in the bottom of the carb. Pull the plug and see what kind of flow you get. It will start out full flow, but as the bowl empties, the flow will diminish. It should still flow a steady stream, not slow to a drip.

If it slows or stops, disconnect the line from the carb, check the flow there. If good flow, the problem is in the carb. There may be a screen in the inlet fitting of the carb, check it first.

If low flow to the carb, check further back to the tank. There may be a screen above the valve. If there is a sediment bowl, there will be a screen there too.

If there is a fuel pump, check it. If there is no pump, the inline filter is not a good idea, too restrictive for a gravity flow system.

Also, the fuel line should be steel, not copper. Be sure it is routed as far from the hot exhaust as possible.

The only thing I have ever found the in line fuel filters that did not come on the tractor is a way for me to make a case of beer. If it has a sediment bowl set up on it that in line filter is very likely to be your problem. Over the years I have thrown probably 30 plus of them away and on all of them that has fixed the problem since gravity flow system do not like a filter made for a fuel pump system

i took the fuel line loose and could blow through the filter and make the gas bubble inside the tank easily with gas cap on, it doesn't have a sediment bowl just come straight out of the tank to a rubber line, someone has put a gm 1 wire altenator and aftermarket gauges and the amp gauge automatically jump up to like 20 amps when i start it

think i got it fixed, pulled plug on float bowl and fuel poured out and then slowed to a drizzle drip, so pulled inlet fitting and screen filter looked good but went ahead and pulled it off and got a gog of stuff blew out, and still gonna leave plastic fuel filter on
