Just a couple more pics. It was a great day for a ride. First tractor started at 9:00am, last one was finished at 2;30PM. Long Day!

Yes, I went on the very first one in 2008. I thought it might be the only chance I'd ever have to do it. Since then I've gone four more times, getting to be a habit. It is really something to drive across with the water 200 feet below you. The whole process just keeps getting better and better organized each year. I'm sure there were a bunch of YT'ers around, but kind of hard to know who they are. Maybe next year we should meet should all get together somewhere after the ride?

Friend of mine flew USAF B47 bombers back in the 50s. One of the pilots in his squadron flew right under the main span of the Big Mac and double rolled on climb out. People who witnessed it said it was the prettiest thing they ever saw. USAF took a very narrow view, however. Both pilots were grounded for the rest of their careers. Contrast that to USN and USMC pilots routinely double looping the Huey P Long bridge. Good training for them. (;>))

I did the ride in 2010 and it was great. Would like to do it again but only time will tell.

Nice pictures! I didn't go, had to milk the cows, but Dad and brother drove tractors. Since it was on 9-11 everyone had a flag and fire fighter/policeman where encouraged to wear their uniform. Lady from our club took this picture, it is our club presidents tractor, just thought I would add it on here.

I recognized that tractor right off the bat. I had to tell Carl to move it so Ray could get a load of oats up to the thresher. lol

MTFD. Montcalm Township Fire Department isn't it?

Yup, your right Randy.

Everyone is required to carry a tow strap or chain for the unexpected. Actually we only saw eight tractors being towed out of 1100 that crossed, which is pretty good since all of them are 50 years old or more.
