The original subject was "Kubota M7040 blows off a fuel hose ".

Hi- I've been having the same problem. Did you find a solution? I cleaned the water bowl, blew out all the lines, changed clamps and changed the check valves. I'm ready to call the dealer but would rather avoid a $500 bill. Thanks a lot.

Hope you can see the photos. I believe this is the return side. The tractor starts and runs fine. Even after the green and white check valve gets blown out of the small hose below it. Above the check valve is a tee. I replaced the check valve and blew air through each of the other hoses coming off the tee. I also ran a small wire through the hoses and found no crimped or blocked hoses. The one hose (black with red stripe) coming off the tee I traced through the fire wall and it seem to go back to the fuel tank. Might there be another filter or sedimenter in the fuel tank that could be restricting flow out of the check valve?

Yes, a solution was found with the help of those that posted. A fuel return hose was blowing off at one of the check valves - I replaced the valve.

The valve is supposedly faulty, but I believe the most important part of the fix was to replace those weak spring-type hose clamps with threaded stainless steel clamps. The spring clamps were so flimsy that I could remove them between finger and thumb.

The link is to the original post, and the photos I posted are still up.

Thanks. I did replace the check valve but no difference. I tried a different clamp but no change. Have not found a small enough threaded clamp. Will try NAPA. So no further problem after replacing the clamp? Almost ready for super clue!

I see you got the photos. I can't help with your other questions, sorry.

"After reading this post last month my 7040 did the same thing at work. I sent discussion link to my dealer and this is the reply. Mine is under warranty so its getting replaced.
I called kubota again and spoke to another tech. He stated that is a known problem with that check valve. They made the assumption that it is moisture inside that check valve and it freezes, the same thing that I assumed. They have made a rolling vendor change (who ever makes that for kubota got dumped) to a different check valve. The new one is supposed to be trouble free."

No, no further problems and it's been almost two years since it happened.

An auto parts store will have the clamps if a hardware store doesn't.
