Satoh Beaver

(quoted from post at 17:48:58 09/03/15) Has anybody heard of a satoh beaver 2wd 15 hp

Wasn't what I expected after reading the entire request.
The Beaver designation does not register. Are there any numbers or letters on the bodywork or serial number plate?

In 1980, Satoh and Mitsubishi Machinery merged to create Mitsubishi Agricultural Machinery. Tractordata doesn't list a Beaver, but seems like I remember such a thing back in the mid 70's.

I seen one for sale and was wondering where they wee made and if the are good tractors

(quoted from post at 19:18:53 09/03/15) yes we had one. sold it at a sale got $1800.00 for it. runs a 4 foot mower like crazy. some early ones had pto the turns backward

Yes I was worried about counterclockwise pto rotation but I heard that they have boxes for that the seller wants $2000 and it does not go into any gear for some reason

I picked up a mid 1960's Satoh G-650 cheap as a basket case. Made in Japan. Cleaned and repaired most everything and painted it. All I have
left to do is rebuild the carb and will try to fire it up.

My great uncle had a satoh tractor back in the eighties.they were pretty much bullet proof
because he could break an anvil with a q-tip.

Saw one sell at an estate auction 3 weeks ago. It was 2 wheel drive with a loader. The old guy had bought it new.It had all the books with it,sold for 2300.

With tranny problems it's worth about scrap value. In other words a couple of hundred bucks.

Satoh made several little compact tractors. They where the Beaver and the larger Buck. They were pretty tough little tractors. Parts are tough to get and Satoh and Mitsubishi did some type of merge/buy out/sale and Satoh disappeared. One like you talking about would only be worth $2000 running in PERFECT condition. The one you talking about would be worth $400-500 tops.

For parts & info call Pitt Auto 800-245-0711. Guy there very knowlegable, and found some odd ball stuff for one of my customers.
