I posted earlier and was able to get pan off,
I had a ting noise by the exhaust now have brass in pan
everything looks clean, brass from oil pump? any suggestions?

I thought so, some of the brass was in oil when drained but larger pieces stayed in pain
couldn't get through screen?
if pump wouldn't make it through screen to pan?

I know NOTHING of the specific construction of that engine, but my first suspects would be crankshaft thrust bearing/washer issues or something in the geartrain/accessory drive area at the front of the engine. Probably an idler up there involved in driving the hydraulic pump?

Looking closer and with others they are slivers of brass not chunks.
Meaning bearing material/shavings?
Due to lack of oil being pumped?

so it was a bearing. It was center bearing in connecting rod bearings but back and front bearings were fine. Why only center?
Oil goes from main crank shaft bearing to connecting rod bearing.
Anyone have experience with this and was main crank bearings be ok?
