Man are the female mantis getting big! Not too happy to get a picture but I got it. And I take Extra large gloves!

I too have been seeing huge mantis this year.Dont remember ever seeing them this big.

I've seen a few medium sized ones so far, but haven't seen any big ones this year. I did see one the other day that had a body and head about as large as a pin. It must have been a really young one as it's the smallest one I can ever remember seeing.

I'm sorry but I showed it to my kin and everyone of them said 'WOW!' and then proceeded to comment. But, it was not about the Mantis.

Again, I am sorry but that is some serious hair.

Ya every time I pick my green beans I have to watch out for the one bean that has 6 legs on it and if not careful if you try to pick it it will bite you yep I always find them this time of year on my green beans and I like to see them there

Ok ,so you have hairy hands. Got any on top of your head? Ha ha ! Two of my sons have chest carpets and lots of back hair, but they are as bald as a cucumber.

When I was in about the 6th grade, I took a praying mantis cocoon on a stick to school and left it at the back of the classroom.
Came in one Monday morning and the back wall of the classroom was covered in little ones.

When I saw this last night, went to YouTube to see if could find something comical involving praying mantis'. I found videos, and one of them showed one killing a mouse. Killed a mouse. Holy cow. Then again, there was one that involved a gecko that stalked and killed the mantis. I never did find a comical video about mantis'.
