$2.69 here, jumped $0.15 last week for what reason I'm not sure, probably since it was warm last weekend and everyone would be filling their boats and jet skis on the way to the lakes!!

Gas price jumps are mostly in Midwest/Lake Michigan market due to the Indiana refinery problems reducing supplies. Diesel has remained steady around Madison, Wisconsin and is currently 20 to 25 cents cheaper than regular gasoline. I have to pay $3.49/gallon(yesterdays prices) for the non ethanol premium needed for chainsaws and my old motorcycles. when the refinery gets back to full production, figure at least 3 more days of high prices until the lower wholesale gasoline gets to station tanks. RN

$2.93 at the Marathon in town,$2.94 at Shell. When I hauled cattle yesterday,it was $2.99 most places along the way.

last week in northern Indiana it went from 2.25 in the morning to 2.59 in the afternoon.

the next day up to 2.99

has dropped back to 2.88 at the lowest but most are still 2.95+

Makes no sense. i'll bet most of our gas does not come from that refinery.

On the news it was said a refinery in northwest Indiana was shut down for badly needed repairs. Will be down about a month. Thy will then switch to winter blend and gas will be around $2.00 by Thanksgiving.

Have you ever noticed when the prices come down for a little while then all of a sudden there is some kind of a problem with a refinery somewhere and the prices go back up.

You know, it's odd. oil is down approx. $60 per bbl. or $.30 per l ($1.33 per US gal), yet it isn't down the relative amount at the pumps. Think we are getting the fickle finger of fate from the Oil Co's. ?

2.159 for unleaded regular & 2.219 for diesel in Chatham (backwoods southside) VA. For a brief period in late June, diesel was 6 cents less than unleaded regular (2.399 vss 2.459). First time I;ve seen highway diesel cheaper than unleaded regular in many years.

Northern Indiana , Michigan, etc! The reason the refinery in Whiting Indiana went down, was operator falt!!!!!!!!!!!! They are having problems with help and management is running the plant, they screwed it UP!! I don't think "on purpouse", yea right!
Guy next door works there . Any reason to raise price!

Yeah right! Had a six hour trip to northern Michigan, Saturday. Prices were minimum at $3.00 some were as high as $3.20. Stick it to the midwest. Especially the farmers and tourist industry. Claim that one tower is down in a refinery in Indiana. Unfortunately we have no refinery capacity in Michigan.

I filled up Mon. $2.29 A gal. Lowest I have seen hear in E Tx. A long time
I hear it will be below $2.00 A gal by the end of year.

Hammer Man

LOL, It should but i think the goverment is the only one that can get away with it. Everybody else just suffers through.

I paid $1.58.9 at the grocery store this afternoon. They sell gas and have a point system where you buy groceries and you get points that decrease your gas expense. My points were at 60 cents a gallon up to a max of 30 gallons. Even without it gas was 159+60 cheap. Now hang onto your skivvies................diesel was 2 cents cheaper! Any body figured out how we got gouged for years with diesel running way way over the cost of gas and what happened to have it as cheap as it is today?
