Rare farmall F34 found....

... If this machine could talk, the stories it could tell, not really a farmall or IH fan but this caught my attention at a local show, not ran in decades, trees had grown up through in at least 2 spots. Way back in the day someone combined 2 tractors. Would love to know the backstory of it all, bet it took quite a bit to turn the beast around!

I can see it a little better now. Not the best though.....

yeah, cell phones dont take the best pictures, couldnt really tell how good a picture it was until i got home and put it on the computer. both magnetos were missing, the rear engine had the oil pan off and most rod bearing caps were missing. shouild have got great traction with all of the weight that was there.

Was the gearing on the two identical? I can't tell, but
maybe it's just the engine and torque tube on the
front one. Admittedly, My knowledge starts with the
letter series, but it still seems like an off way to do a
tandem. I'm assuming they had put electric start on
it. Can you imagine cranking the two engines
together?

it looked to me like someone had took channel iron and extended the frame so that another motor could fit in front of the original. there was a driveshaft going from the back of the front motor to the front of the back motor, right onto the damper pully. didnt look for any starters but i do think there was a crank hookup coming out of the very front. the single front steel wheel was really bent up bad. id almost bet that someone found this beast on property they bought and put it on a trailer to take places and show. im not certian theres any usuable parts except for maybe the rear steel wheels. the manifold on the back engine is all broken up from water sitting in it and freezing. one tree was growing up through the frame and back engine on the right side, other tree was growing up through the right rear. bet it took some doing to drag it onto a trailer. given the age of it, theres a possibility that there wasnt electric start. (granted i know nothing about old internationals) i have no idea how you would ever start a inline 8 that this beast now is.

interesting

makes you wonder if it was just a tinker project or if it ever really ran.

and if it did run did it work at all as a tractor

sounds like they made an 8 cylinder tractor.

(quoted from post at 21:20:03 08/09/15) this should help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7GwubnSM3M
nice to see a video of it, ever going to do anything with it or just display it as-is? i do wonder how well it worked.
