I am heading out to America on Thursday and hope to visit some shows. Do any of you guys know just how good these shows, which I have found, will be?...Like, are they well attended or do they have a lot to see?The first show is Clarke County Antique Power club in Marshall IL....then we hope to visit the North Illinois Steam Power show in Sycamore IL and the Prairie Homestead Show in Belmond IA....The reson i ask is because I cannot find any web sites or info about these shows, but they are on our route???? I also intend to see the Martin County Fair in MN and the Iowa State fair......If any of you guys are heading to these shows, I would love to meet for some tractor talk!!! My main reson for visiting is to attend the Ferguson Expo in Barraboo WI, And maybe we will even find a few machinery yards and salvage places to help us keep our North American tractors going back home in Northern Ireland!
Thanks....Sam

The Belmont show(Prairie Homestead Antique Power Tractor Show)is not real big but is well worth the time. If you look on Belmont, Iowa's web site/facebook they list the show some. The feature is AC and Advance-Rumely this year. Here is a phone number you can call for more information, 515-571-6838.

The North Illinois Steam Power Show is called "The Sycamore Steam Show & Threshing Bee"

Might catch the Baraboo show this year.
North Illinois Steam Power shows

Old Threshers in Mt. Pleasant Ia 27-1 Sept will have over 800 tractors pluss Steamers. 50yrs of Farming nothing newer than 1960 Rantoul,Ill 27,28 and 29 August. Belmond Ia will have National Plowing whil you are there.

Sam If you're going to be in Illinois the half century progress show is in Rantoul 8-27 through 8-30. Lots of old tractors of all makes nice show on a former Air Force base. About 75 miles northwest of Marshall, however it's 2 weeks later. Don't know what you're agenda is but it's a suggestion.

Samn40,
I will have a display at the Badger Steam & Gas show near Baraboo, Wi. I will have my boyhood "H" Farmall, a "30" Cockshutt, a #8 IH plow and a Whirlwind Terracer plow. I will have extra chairs for visiting/resting in the shade under a 10ft X 10ft shelter. If thirsty I plan to have ice water on hand.

Look for my white tent shelter and the "H" with a buggy style umbrella.
