The last 400 places I've been

Was criuzin through google on my tablet during lunch today and came across this. If you want, google will keep track of where you've been. It only keeps 400 places tho. It pretty clearly shows my regular travel areas, but not how often I visit them. It does show where my stolen phone went tho since I've never been to Mexico. I thought that was interesting.

Hey you need to see more of that west! The whole way an put your feet in the Pacific.I never got tired of the many trips i made over what would seem a boring ride to many.

If you'd just publish your route schedule, you'd never have to buy lunch. Lots of YT'ers within the bounds of that map, and most would meet and treat you at the nearest truck stop. I see you've been to my town, and the offer's open.

Looks like you've been either in or close to the Charlotte,N.C. area a couple times as well. Seems there are several of us on here around that area.

It looks like you stopped at my hometown in NEAR. If it tracked my last 400 places the map would have to be a lot smaller. I haven't been more than 150 miles from home in 2 years.

I usually post on here when I have time for a visit. I have met some really nice folks from here over the years.

I've been over there, just not recently. This looks like about 6 months worth since I was in El Paso early this year, but it doesn't show up.

I see the dot for Fredericksburg TX where we met up at the tractor show. As Hank Snow sang, You've been everywhere. Stay safe. jy

Your message just interfaced with a sci-fi thread I started on the other farm site.

Internet and GPS and all the gizmos do so much good for us, but it is fun to look at the dark side too, as sci fi often does.

I saw an old 1963 Outer Limits show last night that just kinda clicked in my head, they were predicting the dark side of Internet and data collection in an episode titled "O.B.I.T." Way back then.

It was about how a device the govt - and then private companies and individuals got ahold of - could track the moment to moment lives of anyone. And how addictive and demoralizing that became over time.

Turned out the devices were supplied by an alien race, designed to demoralize us and make it easy to invade and destroy us.

My comments probably only make any sense at all to sci fi fans.

Anyhow your map and thread just fit in well with that.
