The log splitter got the last parts put on today at 2:30 pm. The hoses are in transit and will be here the 11th,just about an hour and half to put them on. The hydraulic fluid is in the garage. For those who are interested in doing their own,we started in June 15th,and finished up in Aug 8th. It took a long time cutting patterns and welding in steel made from patterns.Pictures will show the results of the work and not all days were used up in the process.Hope you enjoy, glad it's all over, now I can hang up my welding apron, helmet, gloves. We do have safety chains also to install, but not a long process.
Regards,
LOU

Ratchet straps for hitch braces!!!!! Surly you jest! A machine that well made deserves quality steel braces! Anything less would be tacky! Please continue with class! Armand

Armand,
Yes surely I jest. In all my years I have never seen any log splitter with bracing from the axle to the tongue, except some idiots attempt at logsplitter later to become yard art. There has never been to my knowledge of log splitter manufacturers of tongue braces to the axle including the $7,000.00 one I posted a link to back a ways. My reply was purely a JOKE, what you see is what it is and will be for years, our other one has been like that for over 10 years with no problems whatsoever. Thanks for your reply, but no need to worry it's like it is.
Regards,
LOU
