Starlite Ind, mourns as well as ....the Louisville metro area //// We All lost a Star Entrepreneur Farmer unexpectedly yesterday around 11.am Joe Huber 3rd was mowing along one of the pond lakes on a zero turn mower, maybe he had a heartattack , or maybe he was simply going too fast and lost control ,. a neighbor found him pinned under the mower in the water and got him out , but could not revive him,..he was 60 yrs old, . an autopsy will find out what happened today .. when his father became terminally ill with cancer some 12 yrs ago,. he took over the helm of managing the You pik farm, of fruits and vegetables of all kinds, the family style restaurant , and entertainment picnic barns,.. he worked rite alongside with his brothers and sisters and mother and serveral dozen hourly employees ,,there was always something going on AT the FARM , be it hosting a wedding , farm work or play , there was always something needing planted or picked or trimmed,. or a benefit for someone who was down on their luck or tewrminally ill ,.. Joe Huber Jr in 1967 ,bought his fathers farm , and grew it from a you pick strawberry /vegetable farm to the large enterprise it is today ,,. many time joe 3rd and or his Father would speak at farm seminars , coaching for working with family loving , and succeeding and describing successful farming methods .. Joe was certainly a carbon copy younger version of his Dad .. ,,,./ I always liked hearing both Joe's on the radio discussing fruit trees and new techniques and old proven ones ,,.When Joe Called me Personally 30 yrs ago ,, it was just like GETTING a call from SANTA CLAUS ,,. LOL ,,. they wanted me to quote residing their home , which we did , and the HUBERS were very Pleased with our work... and Joe talked Us up, got me more work all over Floyd Knobs ,. one day I told him thanks for all his help ,.. Truly they inspired others ,lived their lives to the fullest and were Great Americans that made this Country Great ,,. and no doubt in my mind , the father and son are united again ,,.

gent,

What a tragedy. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of a great man.

I have a very dear friend who recently rolled his ZTR into a pond on his farm. Fortunately, the way he was pinned under the mower, he was able to keep his head above water. Eventually, he pulled and wiggled and finally got his foot out from under the mower. By God's Grace, he's still with us.

Everything we do on the farm is dangerous.
