620 press drill

I am considering buying an International 620 or 6200 press drill. I have a few questions. First off, will a JD 2550 4wd pull a 20 foot press drill? I don't have any big hills. Second, how much will one weigh? My son would be hauling it from Manitoba to my place on the far eastern side of Northern Ontario with a 3/4 ton pickup and trailer, and I need to make sure it is legal. The distance is over 1000 miles. Thanks in advance, Harv

I pulled a 620 15ft with an Oliver 1650 for years and never did have a problem. I would say you should be just fine they don't pull hard at all just a lot of weight but you still should be good. As far as weight im not sure how much they weigh but I know I hauled mine home on a half ton truck with big 20 ft tandem axle trailer and the truck didn't have a problem hauling it so you should be just fine with a 3/4 ton

An 8 foot section weighs just over 2500 lbs.
Recommendation is 30 HP per 8 foot section
With that said I pull 24 feet [3 x 8] I do have lots of hills.
A Case 970 [ 80 HP at drawbar] is just adequate.

book says it weighs ABOUT 4500 pounds pulled a 24 foot with a 25 hp crawler on flat ground about 4 mph full of seed
