Ebay Customer

I sold a 3pt boom lift on ebay the beginning of May this year. The customer paid for it and I haven't heard from him since.

My Dad was notorious for doing that. In the 1980's thru the 1990's he would drive around and see stuff for sale in peoples yards. He would stop and inquire about it. Then he would buy/pay for the item.

I can drive around today and point out stuff he bought and never picked up. The items are still there and covered in weeds.

Oftentimes, I think he did it to just help people out that may be in a rough spot.

I'm not trying to say you are in a rough spot. Just that your post reminded me of my father.

I hope nothing bad happened to your buyer, but that's possible.
If it is paid for, I would try to contact him/her again.
If that doesn't work, ask eBay to contact them as sort of a
welfare check. They bought it and paid for it after all.

Other than storage I wouldn't think it would be hurting you much.
I do understand the desire to complete a deal as agreed though!
I'm not sure what else you can do about it if he didn't send a
phone number. Did he pay via PayPal so that they might have
contact information?

The opposite thing happened to me once. I bought a toy tractor off ebay.($19.99) paid for it and never heard from the seller. Several messages later. I filed a claim. the seller didn't respond and I got a refund. About eight months later I got a box in the mail with a letter attached to it.

The letter said. The seller died. When the family was cleaning his house. They found a box with my address on it and mailed it.

I have a crawler a fellow in the next state bought back in 1981 and its still over in my field,I see him at auctions sometimes and we joke about it says he's still coming to get it.
