Engine serial number location

Anyone know where the engine serial number is located on a Farmall 340 row crop tractor with C-135 engine. Thanks

I would think the tag is riveted on the clutch bell-housing but not for sure..

Check on the right side of the engine block just below the cylinder head. There should be some machined flat spots, front, middle, and rear. My C123 is stamped on the front pad, my C153 is stamped on the middle one.

That is where the tractor serial number tags is located.

Thanks, you were right, was hiding behind the throttle linkage on the flat spot on fwd part of the block.
