Really?? Mom and I read the article, and we were wondering what states that was allowed in?! I wouldn't mind living in one of those states....
There was rumor around here that there was a band of individuals trying to raise a stink to lower the age of "handgun ownership, and carry rights" to 18. Wouldn't be able to conceal it until 21, but a young man could still carry it!! Would be nice!!

Maine just passed Constitutional Carry, effective this Fall.
It's been a "shall issue" state for many years, I've had a permit since I became a permanent resident.

I've seen pictures of signs where the business owner proudly posts a sign GUN FREE ZONE. If I were a criminal that's sure the stores I would rob lol

I would say you should know soon, I can not recall if they finally eliminated the gun boards and only have to clear background check or not. If the gun board is still in place, you may have submitted at that optimal time right after their meeting, so it will be covered at their next meeting... You know how government works, when it is something that benefits you it takes forever, if it benefits them, it will be tomorrow!.

They won't be going up in Kansas. We don't need them anymore. I've never in my life carried when I was going somewhere. But it sure is nice to know I could if I felt like I needed to.

Might seem like a good idea Bryce, you I really don't think it would be. Young men are already very poor decision makers on their own. Put a bunch of young men together, and the ability to make a good decision goes down exponentially. Rash decisions are made. Then add in a fight over a girl = testosterone + adrenalin + inability to think something over before doing it.
Point being, and I'm not picking on you at all, It would probably be best to keep the hand guns out of the hands of young stupid men. Give them a few years to try to grow up a bit.

......or maybe a better way of putting it would be that science has proven that the "frontal lobe" (judgement) is not fully developed until 25 yrs (avg)in humans. That might sound better to Bryce.
