NEED Help Connecting Sickle Bar

I borrowed my father-in-law's tractor and did not realize when I was detaching the sickle bar I needed to throw an arm. He said now it takes 6-8 hrs with a backhoe and 3 guys to get this back into position to reattach to the category 2 quick hitch. He has John Deere 7720. Anyone know of a quick and easy process to be able to attach this back to tractor? I don't know the make of the mower.

Do ya suppose he might be exaggerating just a tad?
 
If it is A plain old cat 2 hitch I would think a lift with a chain and a little wiggling would hitch it back up unless something is impossibly wedged.
 
I do not know of many sickle bar mowers that would hook to a JD 7720 tractor. Are you sure he does not have a sickle type mower conditioner??? Even then hook up is not that hard.
 
Not familiar with this equipment but with a high-lift jack, a come-a-long, and some blocking I bet I could get it connected in a couple of hours. I am an only child that grew up out in the country, I had to figure out how to do things by myself!

don't think he is doin it right....
 
tell him to talk to JD Seller,,in 6 to 8 hrs,with a backhoe and three guys.,,,,,, JD Seller could rebuid his entire tractor,,,and Im not kidding
