A saw is something you can't scrimp on. I've never heard anyone say they should have bought a cheap one instead. I paid good money for a good saw (Dolmar) and it will be many years before it has to be done again.

I haven't used that brand, but hear good things about it. Treat it right and you will be proud of that purchase each time you use it.

"Treat it right", that says it all! Even the cheapest of tools will generally give satisfactory service if you take care of it, (treat it right). Any tool or piece of equipment with moving parts, especially an engine, should be maintained "by the book". "Treat it right" means preventive maintenance, keeping it reasonably clean, and proper storage. This will add a lot to the life of the unit.

The Husqvarna is a good saw maker Brand. I have one at my house for ten years it has been very good to me in cutting up orange wood and other trees. I had to go buy another type yesterday which they call a tree saw and I bought another good brand to which is a sthil saw. What was funny about it is that the saw was the same price I saw at Home Depot for an echo brand.
Sthil is a very good brand for a chain saw too.

EVERY time I use the saw I blow everything out with the air compressor. I remove the chain plate as that's usually plugged with bar oil and saw dust. I also blow out the air cleaner and the engine fins. I sharpen or replace the chain. The next day I just have to fuel and it is ready.

You will like that saw a lot. have two Husky's They are a good saw, but a little hard for me to start sometimes because of high compression I also have a Echo tree saw, another good brand. Stan

I do the same thing with my saws when I come in after cutting wood. They are always ready to go if needed. I have old saws and newer one and the old ones look like new saws. I have a motto "use them but don't abuse them" .I keep all of mine in cases when not in use (keeps them clean). You can get a lot of years out of a michine if you take care of it.

From a mostly Husqvana user

I have tried one out of China. Cost $A 99. With a USA Oregon 18" bar and chain. The bar and chain locally were worth more than that.

It wore out one chain then quit.

I think that, as I still have some life in the bar, I maybe ahead?

But I am not pleased with some dusting problems with some newer Husqvana's because we "Didn't oil the air cleaner".

I got about 20 years out of a 44 by RTFM.

If you RTFM on these later ones I don't see anything about oiling the air filters

Should treat you well. We've used Husqvarna chainsaws for many years, 2 model 372's and a 261, and have cut quite a bit with the 261, and 100's of cords of firewood with each of the 372's. All are about 15 or more years old, and still run, cut, and look new.

I don't want to burst anyones bubble, but that's a consumer level saw. About equal to any other saw of that quality level. That being said, it can give good service for many years. Watch your mix ratio, use non-ethanol fuel, use good mix oil and keep the thing clean. Learn to sharpen the chain and maintain the bar.

Jonsered, Husky, Stihl, Dolmar/Makita, Echo all make good saws over a wide range of size and quality. Treating them right, as the man said, helps tremendously.

The thing i see with most saws today is that they have a plastic crank case. I wonder how they will hold up?

We have used Huskys for years and they are good dependable saws . I have a 51 , 55 , and a 2100 XP for big wood . Your 445 is not a pro saw but will last a long time for your needs .---enjoy

I happen to be a Stihl guy 260/360/361 but my buddy left his little husky here the last couple of years and I'll admit it is a smooth running high rev limbing machine! Great little saw.

Looks good buddy!!! Glad you got the right color..... :)

hehehe, your fuel bill will probably be a little better than mine too! :)

You won't regret spending the money for the new saw. Never once will you say, "Gee, I wish I had bought a used one instead".

I have some saws (1 Echo 12 years old & 2 Stihls that are 8 years old) that have plastic crank cases and haven't given me a bit of trouble so far. You will find that when you get into your big saws they are metal crank cases.I have a Husky that is about 25 years old that the crank case is metal and every thing else is plastic.

Thanks everyone it seems like it will be a great saw. Bryce I wish but I don't have a wood stove or anything I sold 10 cords of wood to a guy around the block for 120 a cord so I needed an upgrade lol
